We started the weekend off on Thursday with a pitcher full of margaritas at one of my favorite restaurants, Dos Taquitos. They make the absolute best margaritas and steak tacos - yum!!!
Friday was a day full of shopping, and my parents definitely did some damage. I on the other hand tried to keep control and found a couple of spring tops that I was in desperate need of. I have one more that I need to go and grab from Anthro this week - I should have just got it like my mom said... Friday evening we went out for crab legs - so delicious!
Saturday we went to the flea market, out for burgers at Chuck's, and then more shopping Later that evening we got some pizzas and brought them home and dyed eggs, and my mom decorated the table for dinner the next day!
Sunday we got up and my parents got me an Easter basket - and for the first time I surprised them both with a basket. They were really really surprised and loved them! We then went out to brunch at the NC Art Museum, walked around the museum, and then spent the rest of the day at home. My dad helped build me a new box spring {it's fabulous as the old one was very squeaky} and we did a lot of cleaning out closets and getting rid of a bunch of junk. Finally, we ate dinner at home and sat on the balcony enjoying the weather {and no bugs}.
Later this morning my parents are off to Asheville for a few days, and then will be traveling back to Ohio. We had such a wonderful weekend, and I must admit I loved having them all to myself - although I do wish my sisters would have been here. I adore my family!
You're always so thoughtful! I bet your parents haven't gotten Easter baskets in YEARS. How fun!!!
ReplyDeleteMy mom actually said it was the first basket she's gotten since she was a little girl! Awww.... :-)

ReplyDeleteI should have taken pictures of everything my parents bought - they shopped me under the table...I'm still recovering, lol!!!
