(I know you posted a couple days ago but....) This was my first fourth away from my family (except for one that I spent in Oxford...the reason for this year's absence is that I just got married and moved to a different state) but there have been a lot of other changes like this as well, and my husband and I have just been making our own traditions. A family tradition for the fourth was going to my grandparents' pool and lazing about on floats and eating lots of grilled hamburgers and shrimp! Then we would all head to our local fireworks. This year, though, since my hubby and I live in an apartment, we went out and bought a tiny grill for him to cook our own hamburgers and hotdogs and corn on the cob. It was just a celebration of two but it was great! Then we went to the city fireworks which were amazing. Change can be good! : )
