{Everything Must Go}

As you know, I'm planning to move out of my apartment into a smaller space and with that I'm having a sale this Saturday where I plan to get rid of A LOT of stuff. My apartment is full of pillows, art, frames, glassware, decorating accessories, greenery, furniture (dressers, side tables, twin beds, chaise lounge, dining room table and chairs, Crate & Barrel console table, Crate & Barrel side table, chairs, desk, clear ghost chair, and more), 3 sets of lamps, outdoor furniture and decorations, candles, kitchen appliances, new bath towels, shower curtain, jewelry...and MUCH MUCH more.

{Small Space Ideas: New Bedroom Inspiration}

I found this picture over on Pinterest and immediately I fell in love with it and decided I was going to use this pic as inspiration for my next bedroom space. However, as I looked closely to the picture, I realized I already have most of the pieces meaning I don't have to spend a ton in order to get this look. Really the only thing I need is the tufted headboard, shelves, and pendant drum lamp. Excited to get rid of old stuff so I can begin purchasing a few new really nice pieces for my new space {that I'm still searching for...} as I am in the process of improving my life through addition by subtraction {getting rid of the old and only replacing with things which you love}.small space bedroom 1 small space bedroom 2 small space bedroom 3 Jessica Signature

{My May Picks}

It's the beginning of the month and you know what that means...time for my picks of the month! may picks 2012 1. I love this drum pendant lamp - I have plans to place one of these over my bed!
2. These Zara heels are top on my list - perfect to pair with dresses, skirts, boyfriend jeans...
3. This dress....and that's all I have to say about that.
4.  I'm getting rid of my big clunky table lamps and am opting to get a couple floor lamps - perfect for small spaces. This specific reading lamp is on the list for the living room.
5. The black studded clutch is just bad ass - right?

{Food For Thought Tuesday: When We Eat Matters}

I've been talking a lot about clean eating, what to eat, what not to eat - which is all extremely important, but another key component to healthy living and eating is when we actually eat. I came across the site Massive Health over the weekend and I thought I would share a little bit  of what I found, but encourage you to also check out the site.when we eat matters Do you eat breakfast? What do you have? For the last several months I've been eating a greek yogurt, with fresh fruit, and 2 tbs. of healthy granola. While I understand the importance of switching things up, during the week - this is my go to breakfast. The important point is that I'm eating breakfast because those that don't tend to eat more throughout the day:when we eat matters - breakfast Usually during the week, I stick to a healthy and clean eating plan - and it's easy because I have the same daily routine. However, on Saturday's I allow it to be my cheat day because if I constantly deprive myself of what I really want, I will fall off the bandwagon and quickly find myself in the black hole of bad choices and overeating. My problem is sometimes my cheat Saturday also becomes a cheat Sunday and I really need to get this in order, as it's another slippery slope.
