{39 Reasons Why I Love You}

While getting lost in blog-hopping this weekend, I came across {not sure how I got there} inchmark and thought this idea of "39 Reasons Why I Love You" was such an adorable idea. Imagine waking up to a string of notes full of the reasons why someone thinks you're, uh, sh-mazing.....nice, right? I would so keep this in your back pocket for the next time you're looking to score some brownie points {doesn't necessarily have to be your significant other - could be a sibling, a bff, or heck even for yourself}... I just love this very personal and sentimentel idea!
39 Days 1
Brooke of inchmark used 39 notes because her husband was turning 39 on his birthday. Obviously you can use as many or as little as you would like. Here's how to make your own...
39 Days 2
Grab some strips of paper, some colored tape {japanese tape would be awesome}, and some string. Then write a number of things you love about the person - traits you admire, things you know will make he or she laugh, add some serious things as well. Lay out some string and tape your strips in numerical order {Brooke's were about 18 inches apart}.
39 Days 3
Hang your string up using a little more tape...
39 Days 4
Once you take the garland down, save all of the little strips, tuck them into an envelope and stash it so that the person you do this for {even if you do it for yourself} can reread the things you love about them.

Cute idea right?

{Just Call Me The Queen of Online Shopping}

So this past weekend I did A LOT of online shopping for my Italy trip. As you know, I'm going with a black theme to keep everything simple and classy. All of these items will go with things that I already have {jeans, khaki's, black capris, scarves, jewelry, hats, etc...} so I think I'm set. One thing that I love about online shopping is that you get a flood of packages delivered to you...kind of like Christmas {except for that whole paying for your own gifts thing...}.
Italy Outfits
Top row left to right:
~Army green tank embellished with black sequins {perfect to wear alone with jeans or black capris and then put a cardigan or jacket over top in the evening}

~Black classic blazer {can wear with jeans and a white tee to keep it casual, or to dress up and wear in the cool evenings}

~Floral tee & white tee simple to wear during the day}

~Blue button-down shirt {versatile and classic}

Bottom row left to right:
~QUOTE black canvas and cognac leather handbag {this bag is GENIUS! I found it on Etsy and it's a 3-in-1. You are provided with 3 straps to be used as a handbag, a shoulder bag, or....a messenger bag! Fab find right?} Click here to visit the shop.

~Striped tee with flower embellishments {another simple shirt to wear during the day}

~Gentle Souls shoes {ok, these were MEGA expensive, but due to all of the reviews and me trying a pair on last week {they don't rub and I feel like I'm walking on clouds}, I think these will be the perfect shoes to walk around in. Fingers crossed}

~Chambray Skirt {just to switch things up a bit - it's a little shorter than I expected so I think I will wear some leggings underneath...but I still love it - especially the bow}

~Black cardigan vest {can literally be worn over any and everything}

~Classic grey tee {yet another simple tee that I can jazz up a little with the right jewelry and a scarf}

So....what do you think?

{Follow That Food Truck}

Raise your hand if you did not run after the ice cream truck when you were a kid - LOL!!! How great would it have been {back in the olden days} to follow the ice cream truck on Twitter, track it's location on Foursquare or "fan" it on Facebook? Food trucks are all the rage and I must admit I've jumped on the bandwagon. There is something about them that I absolutely love. I don't know if it's the thrill of trying to find where they will be located each day - or the fun of eating amazing gourmet food while meeting and socializing with others in line that you wouldn’t have a chance or reason to talk to - but I love them. Here in NC {especially Durham & Chapel Hill} gourmet food trucks are popping up all over the place. A few of my favorites are: Only Burger, Daisy Cakes, Parlez-Vous Crepe, and Carrboro Raw {click on each name to be directed to their Twitter, Facebook, or website}.

There are many business ventures that I would like to explore "when I grow up", and a food truck is definitely one of them. I have 2 really great ideas {I'll keep them secret...for now} and you better believe if I ever do start one, I will be bringing the food-truck-chic-ness to the block {LOL}! This is kind of what I'm talking about...kinda - but kicked up a few notches...
