{CB2 Fall Preview}

Fall catalogs have always been my favorite because they get me all excited about the change of seasons. The CB2 fall catalog is now available and I'll give you two guesses why I'm head over heels in love with the collection {scroll down for the answer}. Per the usual - always modern, fun and clean, cb2’s selection stays true to crate and barrel’s look, but with a more contemporary twist. Check out some of my faves:

I love: the bold colorful painting, the teal "tv tray", the floor cushion, and the bright orange floor lamp.

I adore: the mix and match of chairs - but also love them separately.

I'm dying for: that over-sized chair to sit in front of my desk...now talk about genious.

Freakin fantastic: the ghost side table/desk & wine holder.

The mustard sofa...yep, sh-mazing!

{To Cliche or Not To Cliche - That Is The Question}

Life oftentimes is great, and unexpected lovely things happen to put a well deserved smile on your face. But as I say that, sometimes life really stinks and is unfair to the point that we just can't understand its twist and cruel turns. Clichés – as frowned upon as they are – have become such fixtures in our everyday chatter that we fire them off without thinking. It's during tough times when a cliche {for me} is the absolute last thing we want to hear - but what are you supposed to say to someone who is going through one of those unfair life happenings? Maybe saying nothing at all is appropriate, but today I'm going to take a different road and offer a few "quotes" to share with someone who may need to hear it, hoping I'm not sounding annoying or....cliché.

{NEW Modage Necklaces}

Over the weekend I finally had some time to upload new necklaces to my Modage Etsy shop. For those who are new to Modage - I've been designing jewelry in my home since 2008 and I absolutely love it. It all started with me taking a class with some co-worker friends at Ornamentea one evening and I became instantly hooked. My design philosophy is to create pieces that beautifully balance one-of-a-kind vintage, eclectic and timeless pieces with a modern aesthetic. I'm obsessed with hunting for treasures in thrift stores, antique shops and flea markets. Tiny treasures often become the inspiration for my jewelry and here is where I get to share it all with you.     

All necklaces are handmade by me. This means there can be some differences between the pictures and the actual item. I try hard to keep these differences limited but the handmade nature of my items make that all of them are one of a kind. {New Jess LC Franklin Collection}

As an ambassador of Jess LC, I'm excited to share with you the new Franklin Intentional Braille Necklaces. True to Jess's purpose, she is again helping people design a life with intention by designing jewelry. In her new collection Jess translated these intentions into braille. How amazing, huh? And to top it off, instead choosing the intentions herself, she incorporated the input of her MML fans by asking us to tell her what intentions represented us and what we wanted to wear on a piece of jewelry. As you can imagine, Jess received hundreds of submissions and the five intentions that were selected are:  Be Present, Be Brave, Be Thankful, Breathe, and Dream Bigger:
