- Wardrobe classics - love this...

- Do you like avocado? Do you like egg salad? Why not combine them and make an avocado egg salad sandwich?

- Just in case you ever wondered how to make your own White Castle burgers at home - don't act like you've never had a 3am craving - lol!

- I love every single look - can she do any wrong? Can J.Crew?

- I think I need these - what do you think?

- An app to organize your closet and create outfits - my sister and I had this idea, but someone beat us to the punch!

Enjoy your weekend Peeps!

{Fall Bucket List}

I must admit - summer in the city is rough and I am oh so excited that it's officially fall and the weather is absolutely perfect. Cozy sweaters, home-cooked comfort food, football, warm drinks...I just love it all. As everything is new to me in the city, I've put together a small bucket list of things I'm determined to do this upcoming season:

{Out of Sight...Out of Mind}

The fact that the size of my current bedroom is smaller than the closet I had when I lived in North Carolina makes me cringe. While the trade off is totally worth it - I'm still having a problem with the storage space in my closet. For me, it's out of sight, out of mind when it comes to the items I have literally stuffed in my current space. I have some fabulous shoes that I've forgotten about, I have a ton of scarves but usually stick to one or two, I have clothes that I don't remember buying - why? Because I can't see them. I don't love digging through piles of clothes, pulling out boxes and boxes of shoes, sifting through bags of scarves - so I need to do something about. Below is a picture of my current closet space {I know, I know - I can hear the gasps} along with a few ideas for how I can increase the storage and make everything more visible:

{Shopping In The City: Recent Purchases}

Over the last few weekends, me and my sister started a trend of shopping on Sunday afternoons. We've realized that it's not as crowded, and it leaves Saturdays for watching college football! I don't know if it's just because I'm in a new city, or if it's simply because I need an excuse, but I feel my fall/winter wardrobe needs a complete overhaul. I need pants, I need sweaters, I need shoes...so over the weekend I purchased a few things that I couldn't live without. Since we are embarking on my birthday month - you will be seeing lots of "recent purchases" posts here on the blog. For starters:

{A Break Is Good, But...}

Hey Everyone! I feel like I'm starting to sound like a broken record, but I'm sorry for being MIA - I've really missed blogging and being connected to all my blog-buddies. After my fun-filled weekend {last weekend} with my friends from Raleigh, I ended up getting sick as a dog, and was out of commission all last week. Now I'm back, and am excited to share with you all of the finds, trends, places, and good eats I've been experiencing here in this lovely city. Yesterday, my sister and I spent the day shopping in Soho and almost at the same time, we both expressed how much we love New York and still find times {like yesterday when we stepped out of the hustle and bustle and really looked around at the beauty of the people and the city} where we can't believe we actually live here. I feel like we've been all over the city, but haven't seen even a tenth of what it has to offer. I think the best part of New York is the energy it shares. It's magical. Even the dirty streets and the smells become...almost romantic to you. All of a sudden a place that should intimidate becomes intimate and suddenly you feel like you belong. I just love it. Here are a few pics from over the last couple of weeks to catch you up:

{TGIF Peeps}

I have taken the day off today as my last Summer Friday and am sooo excited because later this afternoon I have a group of girlfriends coming to visit for the weekend!!! You know, no matter where you work it's going to be trying, clients will get on your nerves, and your plate will continue to overflow - but its the people that you work with day in and day out {those that you see more than your own family during the week} that get you through the day. The people that you get to laugh with, have inside jokes with, shop online during the day with, send each other hilarious You Tube videos, talk about if we're Team Edward or Team Jacob, and share our must-read books - are what you gets you through the day. I met the girls that are coming to visit today at my last job and I can admit that I wouldn't have been able to make it without them. While they left the company before I did, we have remained friends outside of work and now they are coming to visit me here in NYC!!! We have a lot of fun things planned this weekend and here's a little snapshot:

{Miss Me?}

Hey everyone!!! Miss me? It's been a long time - I realize this - life has been a tad bit crazy but hopefully this week you'll get a little more "me time"! I wish I could say that I've been busy going from fashion show to show - but sadly that's not the case. With work being hectic, traveling home last weekend for Labor Day, and then guests coming in to visit from out of town - I haven't been to a normal schedule in quite some time. Here'a a little of what I've been up to over the last few days...
weekend happenings
1. Got a chance to read the new Lonny Magazine and fell in love with this oversized animal print clutch from an artist on Etsy. It's currently sold out but I'm stalking the site daily to get one of my own!

2. We went wedding dress shopping with my sister at J.Crew. While they had some amazing dresses, and I could have walked away with several, my sister didn't love any of them - so the search continues. The great thing about the appointment is she got to decide what type of dress looks best on her - the one above was one of my faves!

3. While at J.Crew and drooled over these shoes. I want them sooo badly but just can't drop $350 on them. They are the perfect color, the perfect height, and were made just for me. Anyone want to buy them for me for my birthday??

4. I made these wings and dipping sauce last night and oh.my.God - PA-LEASE make these. So good, so easy, so cheap. Make them. Now!

5. Walked around the city looking for NYFW star sightings and hoping to be pulled off the street and asked to attend one of the fashion shows. We were 100% unsuccessful - but walking around in this lovely weather was fun. People watching in NYC is the best!

I've missed you guys - thank you for the emails, I have the best readers. xoxo!
